China International Television Corporation, was founded in 1984, and is a large state-owned enterprise fully invested by CCTV. Since its foundation, the company has been committed to the development of new formats and new media, forming a diversified operation system with media industry as its core. At present, the number of subordinated enterprises has reached 102, including several wholly owned subsidiaries abroad including in: the United States, Japan, Hong Kong, and Africa among others. It has more than 19,000 employees around the world, it is China's key cultural-export enterprise, it ranks as one of China’s top 30 cultural industries, and is one of the most powerful media groups in China.
